Rated 5 out of 5 by from Puts the C in camping The tent took a bit longer to put up the first time. Suggest a trial run prior to heading out. Bought extra heavy duty stakes to secure tent. It comes with a few good stakes but the rest are small and would not hold up under very windy conditions. The tent is a excellent choice although a bit pricey. You get what you pay for. Floor is actually waterproof and extends up the sides 5 inches. Auto roll windows, hinged front entrance and interior lighting system is a definanite plus. The screened portion is also an added bonus. It comes with a middle separation or divider that would come in handy with children or for privacy if needed. The tent is very sturdy and ventilation is exceptional, even with the rain fly in place.Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roomy, Impresses friends I received this tent as a christmas present about 6 years ago. The tent has lasted extremely well. It accommodates 2 queen sized air mattresses or 1 queen and 2 single ones. Whenever I set it up I get comments about the screened porch and the hinged door. Very roomy, very classy looking, and very well made. My only half complaint is that when the rain tarp is touching the poles on top of the tent, it tends to trap in moisture and can drip down on us during the night. We have taken to roping additional tarps over the tent to curb the dripping. Overall this tent has held up very well. I will still be using it regularly. If I can manage to set it up extremely taught, I believe the drip problem would be solved.Very satisfied with this tent!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Design Tent, Quality Diminishing? Just took this tent to Big Sur! It was easy to set up and take town. Great design. We love the space coming from an old 4-person Coleman tent. This fit a family of 4 really easy with space for all the luggage and clothes. Screen ripped really easy - first time camping! Has a little hole now. Not sure why. We've taken our old Coleman tent out over 20+ times with younger more destructive kids, but it's held up great - no holes. Hope Coleman isn't taking the quality out of it's products. Such a strong brand, hate to see them destroy it over poor quality control. Hoping this was just an anomaly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tent for car camping My son and I have a much smaller tent for kayaking trips. This is our big tent for "luxurious camping." My friends at the Bluegrass festival we attended last weekend were impressed, especially with the built-in light. My son and I like the roll down windows. The ceiling height is much taller than 6 feet so we had plenty of room to stand, and the separation of sleeping and sitting/storage areas was very nice. We had more than enough room for two Coleman camp cots in the sleeping side of the tent. I would say it could sleep four comfortably, but we like it as a very large home for two. I did all the pre-work of setting it up and hosing it thoroughly before taking it on the trip. It rained very hard for several hours and we got about a half cup of water on the floor. I didn't see where it leaked, not from the roof, probably from the door or a window. I did not stake the bottom out tightly and carefully, so the side the rain was coming from was not tight. If I do that properly next time there may be no water at all. This tent is too heavy to carry any distance, so only plan to use it when you can drive right up to your campsite. The screened-in porch is very nice. When it rains sideways, the stuff stored in the screened-in area gets wet, but not soaked. I need to buy a mat for that area, but I think that having a water proof floor would cause problems with the inside of the tent that needs to stay dry, so I prefer the setup of this tent. All in all, I'm happy with this tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Affordable and seems to be well made! We got the tent for an extended car camping trip and it seems well suited for that purpose. I must admit that I found the picturized instructions of how to set up to be confusing so I looked at the parts and analyzed how to do it. It was very helpful that some pills were identified by red tape so we knew which went with which. Once erected we labled every pole set with whether it was a front, front-middle, back-middle, or back pole with my lable maker. I anticipate that making it easier to set up in the darkness! It's also important to stake the tent down for support. We were unable to do that since we set it up inside. I can't stress the importance of setting it up as a trial set up before you try in the wild! It is easy once you see the method but you should familiarize yourself with it first. It was easy to fold up neatly and it actually went back in the week designed carry bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty sweet tent. We bought one of these several years back and have used it quite a bit. We’ve weathered some INSANE wind storms in this thing on the plains of eastern New Mexico where I thought it was going to collapse and send us running to the truck. Nope. It held up through it all and kept us dry from the rain. My main gripe is with the bag it came in, which has completely failed. The tent is currently in a heap because I have nothing to put it in. Need to call Coleman and see if I can get a new one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good size The tent allows me to store all my gear inside in bad weather. I just wish that Coleman would reinforce at least one center seam and put a loop or ring in the reinforced seam to be able to hang a lantern or light in the tent. This would also require the central exterior supports to be a little more substantial then the ones currently used. This is a car camping tent and a few more ounces of metal to make the supports able to handle the extra load is not a real consideration with this tent. otherwise head room is good and so far in wet weather no leaks. Good tent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
