Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Smoker for the $$ Picked this up at the store. About 30 min to put together (very easy) and is very sturdy and heavy. Did the break in at 350 and it held there (within 5 degrees) the entire time. Switched to low-temp smoke and this thing did just that - great smoke cycles and again stayed within the temp range. The Camp Chef has some great features and this one, with the direct flame defuser slider, adds just one more option for your cooking pleasure. Overall, after researching pellet smokers for some time, I feel this one checks all the boxes I needed and at this price, you can't go wrong with this smoker. I was going to do the DLX but I'm so glad I found this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Food tastes great! I bought this two months ago after looking at pellet grills for months. The only difference between the ZG and SG is that SG holds 4 pounds more pellets and the ZG is $250 less. Setup was a breeze. The first time I used it, I slightly overcooked pork chops. They tasted so good the next thing i know the pork chops were gone. All the accessories fit perfectly. I use grill mats so there is virtually no clean up. The ash cup is a breeze to empty, far better than using a vacuum. Everything i have smoked has been great. Awaiting for cast iron grill grates to come back it stock to see how the grilling works@

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use pellet smoker I bought this smoker on sale at Dick’s and with a 20% coupon. I couldn’t beat this deal. I was looking at Traeger and Green Mountain. After looking at all three I picked this Camp Chef for the price, reviews and features. I am a WSM user. I have been smoking brisket and pork shoulders for years. Recently I wanted more space and an easier smoking process. I have done a shoulder and brisket already with good results. With charcoal you get a good dark bark from the smoke, pellets don’t give you the same bark. The pellet grill is easy to use. I like the temp probes. I use a wireless temp monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value for the Quality and Features You Get!! This is a great pellet grill and smoker for both the beginner, like myself, or the seasoned smoker. I love the ability to go from indirect heat to direct heat on the fly, so I can smoke some ribs (indirect) and then finish them off with some direct heat at the very end to lock in the flavor and firm up the BBQ sauce. Or I can throw some burgers or steaks on the grill right after I finish smoking a good brisket! Easy to put together and even easier to use. Next up I'll be purchasing the attachable Sear Box for this unit, although the grill itself gets up to 500+ degrees, which is better than my neighbor's Traeger and plenty hot enough to get a good sear on my steaks. Highly recommend this pellet grill/smoker!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pellet grill/smoker This thing is the best of both worlds when it comes to smoking and grilling. The ZG is a hybrid between the deluxe and the SG model for a lower price. The temperature probes work perfectly allowing for closed door smoking. I added the sear box to the side for that perfect diamond sear when I want it. Camp Chef quality is excellent in comparison to other big name pellet smokers. I will never go back to just propane as this thing creates the most flavorful foods you can imagine. Thanks Camp Chef for offering an affordable option at a well known retailer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All camp chef premium features less money I have had my grill for over 6 months. It is absolutely wonderful. If you want to pellet grill this is the one to get. And if you have a dicks then you're in luck comma because you can get all of the features of the expensive Camp Chef grills 4 hundreds of dollars less. I can't tell you how happy I am with my Camp Chef much better than the trigger I had. Take a look at all the features of the Camp Chef. Easy to clean easy to change the type of wood you're using. And this 1 has the grill feature. Pull the lever and you're grilling. Try that on a Traeger

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't get a better deal than this! I have been researching pellet grills for 6 months now. This grill is a steal at the current price of $399. Quality construction and with a ton of great features and grill ing/smoking space. Other brands costing more than twice this do not have all these features. Two internal meat probes (works great), easy cleanout (great feature), holds temperature within 10 degrees. About the only thing it does not have is auto shutoff but if want to pay upwards of $1,000 to get this feature with a more expensive grill go right ahead I have had it for a week and love it. I have grilled and smoked on it. Drumsticks first and then smoked baby backs and pork butt using Camp Chef Competition Blend (best price is at Dick's) If you have been sitting on the fence on this one, time to make your move before they sell out. You will be glad you did. I am.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value in the Camp Chef lineup. So I bought one. When this is on sale, like it is today at 399, it is the best grill for the money. Camp Chef has build so many features that you only see on models that cost much more, and some you won't see at all. The ash cleanout for the pellet burner, the two temperature probes, being able to reach temperatures of 500 degrees, the Slide and Grill technology, the easy hopper emptying to change pellet flavors, splitting the cooking grates in two so you can put them in the dishwasher, to name a few. This model, the PG24ZG is specially made for Dick's. It is basically a cross between the DLX and the SG models. It adds the Slide and Grill technology and a few other items to the DLX. It took me about an hour to put together. Would have been a little quicker if I had some help. The instructions were clear, I just wish the pictures were a little bigger. They gave me a few extra nuts and bolts, just in case. The unit is very sturdy, and heavy. Some of the parts have a heavy coat of oil on them, so be aware of that. The box itself is able to come apart easily in such a way as to assemble the unit right on it. It also needs an initial burn in. Ready the instructions through a couple of times, and you won't have any problems with it. On my initial run, it held temperature to within 7 degrees. Overall, its a great unit, and I don't think you'll be disappointed if you pick one up. I'll try and remember to update this review as I use it more.
