Product Information:

Go faster and farther with the Callaway Epic Flash Driver. Flash Face Construction – the first known application A.I. in golf equipment – employs data from over 15,000 face architecture iterations to strategically place dozens of subtle ripples on the back of the face to generate noticeable distance gains. Revolutionary Jailbreak Technology uses two internal bars to stabilize the crown and sole for even greater ball speed. The new T2C Triaxial Carbon Crown combines with Adjustable Perimeter Weighting to promote optimal weight placement and fine-tuned customization.

Flash Face – Artificial Intelligence, Real Ball Speed:

Flash Face Technology
  • Callaway engineers used Artificial Intelligence and machine learning to create a radically different face design
  • Machine Learning enabled Callaway to cycle through 15,000 face architecture iterations, learning from each one, before arriving at Flash Face
  • Dozens of subtle ripples – flowing from heel to toe – work together to elevate COR in the face’s center region
  • Distinctive topography on inner side of face forged from titanium and heat treated at 1100° F to maximize flexibility, speed and strength
  • Results in significant ball speed boost for distance increases when you make solid contact, making long drives even longer

Jailbreak Technology for Faster Ball Speed:

  • Revolutionary technology designed to promote fast, face-wide ball speed for elevated performance
  • Two internal, hourglass-shaped Jailbreak bars connect the crown to the sole, stabilizing and stiffening those points at impact
  • Greater stability and stiffness allows face to take on greater impact load, resulting in explosive ball speed

New T2C Triaxial Carbon Crown for Higher MOI:

  • New Triaxial carbon fabric – T2C – utilizes a tighter weave than previous generations
  • Weight saved from the crown and strategically repositioned in the head for heightened MOI
  • Higher MOI promotes better distance and accuracy performance on mis-hits

Adjustable Perimeter Weighting for Ball Flight Control:

  • 16g sliding weight can be positioned anywhere on the built-in track at the rear of the club head
  • Adjusting the position of the weight allows golfers to promote neutral, draw or fade biased flight
  • OptiFit® Hosel allows for a combination of 8 different loft and lie configurations for even greater customization

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Highest ball speed yet! I was able to use the Epic Flash on a Trackman launch monitor; The ball speed was 7 MPH more than my current driver. The super computer worked! This increased distance and flight. On bad shots, the dispersion was similar to my current driver; it is very forgiving. The face feels numb at times, which can be a good thing for misses on the face. After all, golf is a game of misses. It makes a great sound; the crack of the driver sounds like I hit it 300+ yards each time. The sweet spot is closer to the heel, which doesn't fit my eye. This driver can be for pros or beginners; both will see benefits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible distance This Driver is crazy long and accurate. I had an old Taylor Made R11s. Every time I compared it to a new driver there was only 3 or 4 yards more. To me that wasn't enough to invest in a new one. This year, I compared against the Ping G410 and the Taylor Made M5. Again not much difference. Than I tried the Epic Flash! All I can say is that it is a game changer. I am consistantly hitting it 20 to 30 yards further. Everyone keeps asking me what am I hitting! Thanks Callaway!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best Driver on the market I’m 53 years old and have hit a lot of drivers in my day. This driver is unbelievable.Callaway has made distance for amateurs per fun again.Played this driver today and let me tell you it is long.i averaged about 260 off the tee and for a 53 year old i take that any day it the week.Callaway is the best in the business.I also play steel head irons but think i gonna go with rouge x pretty soon.Once again callaway thank you for making the best clubs on the market and it’s not even close

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the best driver I have ever owned. I had the original Epic driver and switch to the Rouge driver and found both to be extremely good drivers; however the Epic Flash has out performed both. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. Maybe the best ever. S L

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't Be More Impressed! Was happy with my M4 until I hit the Epic Flash. No comparison. Looks great to the eye and the sound at impact is incredible. Like striking a match. Only problem is everyone in my group wants to hit it too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At 70 years old I feel 35 again With age it is natural to assume you are going to lose some distance of the tee, you can't beat father time or can you? There is a lot of advertising hype out there these day about gaining distance with $$$$ ! With the Callaway Flash Driver it's real, not hype. Since putting this club in play two thinks have definitely and statistically improved. My driver distance is at least 10 yards longer ( more at times) and my accuracy with fairways hit has dramatically improved. Bottom line my index is headed down for the first time in a long, long time. Thank you Callaway from an old guy who loves golf even more now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flash Face technology takes this driver to the next level The Callaway Epic Flash looks very sharp at set-up. The driver appears to about 1 degree upright. The crown is similar to the GBB Epic, however has an additional grey accent line just behind the Callaway V alignment aid reminiscent of the FT9 crown design. The sound is not quite as muted as the original Epic, but a bit more solid at impact. The feel is very consistent with the previous two releases of Jail-Break technology clubs. The distance was a good 8 to 10 yards further than my current Rogue driver. The A-I Flash Face definitely made a difference with forgiveness and accuracy as even off-center hits did not show a loss of distance or deviation from the target line. Over the course of the testing, the launch was consistent with my normal medium-high trajectory. My normal swing promotes a small fade, which was almost non-existent aided by low-spin. At all times you feel as though you can hit this driver almost where you point. Very accurate and easy to control. I have been using Callaway drivers since the mid-1990's. The Epic Flash delivers the best performance in distance, feel, accuracy, and forgiveness of any Callaway driver to date. The A-I Flash Face technology is definitely cutting-edge and takes this driver to the next level.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not getting any more distance than my Great Big Bertha Two things I notice about this new driver. First, it sets up closer to the heel than other drivers like my Great Big Bertha. I find this distracting. Second, I’m not getting any better distance or accuracy off the tee thus far. I’ve only played 18 holes after hitting several dozen balls at the range, but, thus far . . . it’s definitely not worth $500+ over than my old GBB. Not living up to the marketing and advertising. “20 out of 20 stars” . . . I doubt it.
